First things first ~
I would just like to say, that if you are reading this page then you are my new best friend. Because that means you have decided to navigate through my blog. That is true best friend material, earthlings. I love it!
Also, please tell me a few of you have gotten the pun in my blog's name. Pretty pretty please. Writer's Block?? Get it? Get it??!
Yeah, I go nuts with puns sometimes. Seriously, it's an addiction.
Down to the nitty gritty ~
I've been writing for many, many years now. The piece that truly transformed my "write-life" was a poem I wrote when I was ten, titled, "My Best Friend Meagan." It was written about our 15 year old dachshund that we had to put down. It was a sad, sad day and despite how depressed I was, for some reason, I chose writing as my escape.
I would say I've been doing it ever since then, but that's a lie. I had stuck with poems here and there, until a few years had passed. That was when I wrote my first fictional story. It dealt with a girl who was always in awe of water puddles. She felt it was a passage to another world. On her birthday, she decided to go with her gut and she jumped through the 'portal'. She ended up at the bottom of the lake in a parallel universe, gasping for the surface. I had a wild imagination, I know.
After that story was written and put into a box, I slowly drifted back to poetry. That's when it became my true escape. I wrote poems like I was writing in a daily journal. Then I eventually started writing fiction stories again.
At present time, I'm surrounded by five unfinished fiction stories and ideas continuing to flood my everyday thoughts.
